Rapper Lil’ Wayne Sentenced To 1-Year In Prison

Rapper LIL WAYNE, walks out of court after a brief appearance for his sentencing date.Wayne didn’t say one word during his session in court. The Grammy winner will go to jail in February 2010 for a year after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in October.

The sentencing date is February 9, 2010, his new album will be released on the first of that month- which will help give Wayne a chance to earn some extra income while in the slammer. It sure beats $5 a day which most inmates make.

So far, no word on where Wayne will serve his time, but he is going to be very popular wherever he ends up.
