Just weeks after winning approval from country star Taylor Swift’s mom to date her daughter, Twilight wolf-boy Taylor Lautner has proposed!

But the quickie “marry me” triggered a battle with both sets of parents, who believe the 17-year-old actor and his 19-year-old sweetie aren’t old enough to tie the knot, sources tell The ENQUIRER. We have to agree- just look at Leann Rimes. She got married when she was too young and it just ended up in divorce. Tons of young “Hollywoods” bit the bullet young, Including the most recent divorce of Avril Lavigne. In the end it’s just not a good idea- especially when you are a celebrity.

Lautner’s parents adore his super-talented girlfriend, “but they feel both are too young, and that since their careers are just starting to take off the timing is wrong,” said an insider.

“Their parents urged them to get to know each other better before taking such a big step.”

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Lautner has met Swift’s mom Andrea and won her approval to date her daughter, who recently won the Country Music Association’s coveted Entertainer of the Year award.

But Andrea insisted Lautner follow her rules: No clubs, no Hollywood parties and always remember that her daughter’s career comes first.

“Andrea also told Taylor that if there was even a whiff of scandal or cheating, he’d be banned from seeing her,” the source said.

Lautner took it all in stride, and in the end, Andrea gave him a thumbs up.

This is just a rumor. Tabloides are going to make it into something it’s not. This all came about after they started filming Valentine’s Day together. They are just friends. And plus Taylor is too mature to propose at the age of 17. Plus the fact it was only weeks after getting approval is so not him.
