Lil’Wayne Denied at the Canadian border!

One is the loneliest number. Well thats what one of little waynes friends thought as he was stuck in Vancouver tonight waiting for lil’Wayne to get his ass to the concert.  Tonight’s Lil Wayne concert at GM Place was cancelled due to the fact he couldn’t get across the Canadian border.

Canadian officials denied Wayne and the gang due to priors and other events that have not been cleared up yet.Lil Wayne was arrested twice. On July 22, 2007, in New York City following a performance at the Beacon Theatre. New York City Police Department discovered Lil Wayne and another man smoking marijuana near a tour bus. After taking Lil Wayne into custody, police discovered a pistol on his person, and he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana.

Another arrest was on October 5, 2007, following a performance at Qwest Arena, in Boise, Idaho on felony fugitive charges after Georgia authorities accused the rapper of possessing a “Controlled substance.” The incident was later described.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Canadian border patrol denied a celebrity or even give them a hard time entering Canada. A few months back Lindsay Lohan was given a difficult time trying to get in to Montreal to watch her beau Samatha Ronson spin.

“The Lil Wayne show has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond Live Nation’s control,” the promoter said in a news release.

An ESC insider said ” Everyone got stuck at the border except for a few of his friends who got in earlier, As well Soulja Boy’s bus got through I believe but they decided to all turn back since Lil’ got rejected.  They got other concerts down south so only the two Canadian shows will be effected.”

The show was supposed to be a big hit for the Vancouver fans as well as the Edmonton fans who also got the news that their show will also be cancelled. Lil Wayne,was to share the bill with Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and Drake.

I Guess he is going to have to party hard all by himself tonight.
