Beastie Boy: Adam Yauch fights with Cancer

Well if you are a fan of the Beastie Boys like I am then it was a sad day for you. Today Adam Yauch announced that he has a cancerous tumor in his left salivary gland.

“Luckily it was caught early and is localized in one area, and as such is considered very treatable,” the Beastie Boys record company, EMI, said in a statement. “It will however require surgery and several weeks of additional treatment.”

Adam and “The Boys” had to cancel there upcoming tour due to the fact that Adam has to go in to surgery. This may also push back there new upcoming album entitled ” Hot Sauce Committee Part 1″ The album was supposed to drop mid September but now they are not certain.

His friends and family have have sent Adam there best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery. I personally can’t wait to hear the new tunes. You would think with the technology we have now these days that we would have found a cure for Cancer by now. It’s a shame that’s not the case.
